@Jessica Booker do you know how firms feel about asking for an extension on Blended Assessment VI? I recently had 3 wisdom teeth removed surgically and the post-op recovering is taking longer than I expected. I’m afraid I won’t recover enough to do the VI before the deadline.
Can somebody shed some light on what Mayer Brown’s tests are like? Coz in the email they mentioned an SJT and a VR. The practice link takes you to Cappfinity and they have “Online – Behavioural Assessments” and “Online – Cognitive Assessments” which I’m guessing is the equivalent, but they also...
What’s the rule regarding choosing whether a work experience is SQE qualifying? Coz in a few applications, I ticked “yes” for my current role coz I am doing a mixture of paralegal and business operations work, but I’ve never had a chat with my employer about whether it is actually QWE or not...
For Reed Smith's blended assessment, is it fine that I did the SJT part today and leave the VI for tmr? Coz they said they record the response time. @Jessica Booker @axelbeugre
Just realised Osborne Clarke’s application doesn’t have anywhere to explain mitigating circumstances for university education, only school/college? I’m a bit confused as to where to put my MC or if i should include it at all.
For DWF’s app “What are your motivations for wanting to pursue a career as a Solicitor at DWF? (250 words)” is it necessary to mention why I want to be a solicitor coz I did 50/50 but looking at past applications, I see a lot of people just going straight into why DWF.
Does anyone know what Osborne Clarke meant by “legal market” in “How have you gone about researching the legal market? What sources of information have you used? How has this led to you making an application to Osborne Clarke?”
Does it just mean how I researched law firms?
Yes, it did go through and I got the email but on the system, the application time was recorded as 00:05. I was panicking so I didn't even get a chance to save the application to my PC or do a final review before sending it off.
Really dire situation here: I had some major technical difficulties when submitting my Mishcon de Reya app, which led to me submitting it just now. I received a confirmation email from MDR, but I'm debating if I should contact grad rec since it was 5 minutes past the deadline.
Oh thank you! My biggest concern was I didn’t have any GCSE adjacent exams because of my education system so I have to put “N/A” in the grades section. I was worried it might affect my application negatively.
Just to make sure it’s not a glitch on my end, Womble Bond Dickinson’s app has no questions or boxes to put in mitigating circumstances or explain an international exam system?
