I agree with the above. Key things I would do to display confidence/ calmness (I think sometimes calmness is all that's needed) include:
- Firm handshake and eye contact as soon as you meet the interviewer, introduce yourself with a smile and ask how they're doing (obviously the handshake bit is...
I've got to be honest, I've zero knowledge of stock/ share trading so feel woefully under-qualified to start advising! Haha. Currencies are way more my wheelhouse :)
Edit: I should clarify that this is for active investments, I do also keep a passive investment fund which trades ETFs etc, just...
My understanding, in fairly simple terms, is as follows:
Pre-pack denotes a situation where the entity being sold is heading towards financial distress/ insolvency but this has not been formally declared, no insolvency practitioner has been appointed etc and it is essentially a private...

I made 12 (maybe 13?) applications on my cycle across magic circle, silver circle, American and international elite firms. 3 AC invites, 2 VS's and got my TC from one of them :)
Hard as it is, though, try to keep your head in the game and your motivation high - remember you only need one 'yes'...
Hi, sorry it's taken me a while to get back to this!!
I substantively agree with Dheepa's response given above. I concur that a pure CV-based interview is much less likely to focus on competency questions, but I have personally been in interviews where the interviewer has had my CV in front of...
Obviously can't give a cast-iron guarantee but it's highly unlikely to be the sole factor for an immediate PFO. People make far bigger mistakes than a wee grammar error and still receive offers!
This is one of the reasons why I had a rule never to re-read applications after I'd submitted them...
No not at all, I've used plenty of examples for experiences not listed on my application or even my CV - I keep my CV strictly to 2 pages so have to be selective with what I feature on it; some apps limit you to 6/8 work exp inputs so I just choose the most relevant stuff to put on the app :)
I would personally say that this is a composite of "why us" and "why you" questions, with the emphasis shifted firmly on matching elements of these responses as appropriate and tying them together throughout your answer to have a coherent and logical overall response.
Key things to consider...
I would substantively agree with what Naomi has said above: ultimately, there's no right or wrong answer here and ultimately you also have to take a pragmatic view as to what is necessary for your life, too: you need to consider rent/ bills etc and a job might be a better shout than studying...
As Jess has already mentioned, focus here on analysis rather than descriptive stuff - small things of no consequence like date and author are immaterial. I discuss different response structures to a question like this in some amount of detail in my recent article...
Hey, congrats on the AC!
As general prep, you might want to check out the three AC-orientated articles I've written recently:

In my experience, they're quite hard to do a lot of prep for as the scenarios were very wide-ranging and. varied between candidates at my AC there. I would personally brush up. on the basic mechanics of contracts (including boilerplate/ common clauses etc) and also probably the mechanics of a...
I day trade the forex market as my primary income and ran an educational consultancy on the same until about 2 weeks ago teaching folks how to trade, feel free to DM me.
I would say this is the opportunity to break down how you interact with other team members: for example, do you always assume a leadership role? Do you always prefer to work under instruction? Do you switch between both depending on the circumstances? You obviously then want to use an example or...
