Depends - some firms will call from a private number but others won't.
I've actually got a story about this that I was telling @Dheepa the other day:
When I got my TC offer phone call, it came from a partner at Travers (let's call them J). J phoned me from their (work) mobile, made me my...
I'd always advise against- your eyes will dsrt about the screen and look at them rather than into the camera. You wouldn't do it in person so I would advise against doing it digitally too.
Continuing to develop things like new, nuanced AFAs is one i normally discuss here. Also, looking at increased digitisation or use of cheaper non-London offices for certain jobs is another consideration.
Biggest thing is to answer on what one you're the most confident about.
If it were me, I would personally explore the crypto side of things but that's primarily driven by the fact that I have an interest in this from a few angles, also believe that there are more interesting legal discussions...
As others have mentioned, I think the key to solving this is having a solid structure for all your answers.
I used to be terrible for rambling on... and on... and on... and on... and on... (sorry I'll stop now). Eventually realised that it was because I was answering without a clearly defined...
Wouldn't worry, this has happened to me before and isn't a big deal, just means a partner is on annual leave (or hasn't had a minute to breathe let along discuss stuff with GR, probs the latter)
As with others, I can sympathise with you here.
I had a horrific interview once with a Magic Circle firm (won't mention who, but it rhymes with Difford Dance), and it was a complete and utter crucifixion. I chat about it here if you want something humorous to cheer you up.
I laugh about it...
Shouldn't matter which you choose at all, as above if they want you they'll make you an offer! I chose mine around dates that would suit me in re other plans (the the 'rona happened lol)
Mainly, firms will need to be aware of this trend so they can advise on the nuances of listing this way and also internally be aware that they're likely to be launching a lot of floats using this method - especially for firms with large ECM/ Funds practices. Obviously, if regulatory measures...
I understand where you're coming from - unfortunately, though, I don't think that having X number of pieces of work experience will ever be a guarantee to convert an application. It's much more about how you leverage your experiences to show skills/ aptitudes/ competencies/ attributes and then...
Hey Asil,
Similarly to what I've said above, you're not the only one to have had a tough cycle. It does seem as though the demand for places this year has been extremely high (although that is the case every year, so I may just be more tuned to it this year because of my work here).
In terms...
Hey,
First off - thanks for reaching out and posting this. It's brave and highly commendable.
You're not the only one in this position, so don't feel isolated. I personally think you should take some time away from it all - take several months away, give yourself some breathing space and try...

I found the above articles quite interesting on this topic, hope they help :)
