Yanno, since its 6 years and all...
think we could do an "anniversary discount" on that premium 👀 just like a one-time thing yanno? For the celebrations of course!
That sucks. The application cycle is brutal. But getting to VI is incredibly impressive. I got a rejection today as well.
I'd say shoot it then. I can't say with certainty that your app wouldn't go through. As I said, everything else matters like your materials - Work Experience, Motivation...
Depends on how low it is and If you have mitigating circumstances. Always check with grad recruitment if you're unsure. But if it says majority A, I (personally) wouldn't apply with something less than AAB. Based on what they say.
There's no shame in applying, just know what you're up against...
How long is a reasonable amount of time to wait for a firm to reply post application/test/vi? Does anyone have experience of waiting an exceptionally long time to hear back and receive a successful application/progression to the next stage?
I'm starting to think the longer the wait the more...
For sure! I think I'm just unsure how it's work experience/something I'd list under my work experience section. I would talk about it in the "Why law and why this firm" section (which I have) but work experience? I'm a lil lost still. But it's deffo good for those things you mentioned
Lol, I think that's a bit ridiculous but fair enough. I wish there was a separate section. I don't think Open Days/Insight Evenings should qualify - hardly any work involved - but I realise they are "competitive" to get on to.
Am I disadvantaged by not attending open days? I have attended...
What about open days/insight days? I've never really understood why people litter them all over their LinkedIn profiles. Can they be mentioned in the experience sections?
I'm non law so I always feel my "experience" is skinny and limited, particularly with Law. I've logged out of LinkedIn...
You have to dig deep. But more often than not (when it comes to shadowing Gov Professionals/Counsels/etc) it's through "networking". Typically they know someone who knows someone. Some people with this experience will say it's because they "just sent an email in" with their CV, but it's only...
Agreed. It depends how you go over. by that I mean, the way you present your waffle it’s too long.
If you take a long time to say something quite straightforward it’s not great. You seem like you’re searching for an answer when you shouldn’t be. If the story requires detail though and it is...
Just a heads up, the CPS is looking for paralegals at the min. It’s worth shooting a shot. Pays extremely well and the experience is just as good if not better than paralegal work for a commercial law firm.
