I'm currently in the process of applying for another TC, this time at an independent firm rather than an international. The questions they ask are similar/the same as others I have answered in other applications, but they only allow for 800 characters max. Do I go quality with my answers and...
Considering it was the 31st to hear back regardless of the year applied for, I would say end of the week is perfectly fine! I'm not holding out much, but I have a couple I need to chase up as well.
Does anyone have any info on Myersons? Totally out of the blue that I discovered them through a recruiter of the firm connecting with me on LI. They’re based near Manchester and have a sector that I want to specialise in, & still taking applications for 2023 TC’s. I’m having a chat on Monday...
How long ago did you hear from them? Slightly confusing as they didn't say anyone was doing interviews or whatever until this month, even though their deadline was May.
Just a quick one - I assume Gibson Dunn have very recently merged? I'm just going through my remaining applications to hear from, and they've suddenly had a name change lol
I think overall, despite not getting a TC, I do think the interview went well. I'm yet to hear back my full feedback report, but overall I think it was a case of that they couldn't offer everyone, and had to eliminate the weakest, even if it was only marginal. I'm sure once I get the feedback...
Can’t really prepare too much in advance if I’m honest! You’ll receive the tasks on the day as you do them, but there’ll be a solo presentation, a group presentation, written task and interview. The written task really isn’t tooo bad (I have zero legal education and passed the AC fine) so it’s...
For sure, I was struggling to find anything entry-level. I do currently work, but I suppose I was considering the feedback I had in that having some work experience would help with future prospects.
Just a question about work experience. After my rejection post-interview for a TC, I'm genuinely interested to learn about what part time roles I should be looking for to up my chances for next year. I have almost 7 years of work experience in different fields, but nothing specific to law. I...
lmao same, although I did find their email pretty helpful in way of what they look for exactly. Not many firms do that, even if it is a general email for everyone.
Thank you! I really appreciate it :)
I'm looking for work in media/entertainment, so smaller/niche or mid-tier's that provide experience in that realm. Usually with a far smaller trainee take each year, but the larger US firms never really appealed to me!
