Just wondered if there's a better name, than when I called it a "maybe pile" - I didn't want to give off any negative connotations by labelling it that! It sounds like they're at least somehow selective in who they sent the "Your application is of interest" to, so it's definitely a positive sign?- M777

Low grades in two-three subjects, primarily as those Profs are generally known for marking low in my University. Should I explain this in my TC App?
if you're averaging 65-70 you'll be fine anyway. I'm from a UK uni that is notoriously harsh on marking (they even sent out a letter to firms asking them to account for this). I'd probably save any explanations for mitigating circumstances you had, but also maybe provide an academic reference...- M777

Having been rejected by every single firm I've attended an Open Day at (in one cycle or another), they definitely don't indicate much in the way of positivity for that firm.
