    You won't need to pay it to the student loan company as a lump sum as the payment is for you, not for your studies. Similarly, trainees being sponsored through the course and receiving a maintenance grant can still apply for postgraduate funding if they want to.

    Because the third and fourth seat trainees are usually more focused on their seats as they are more likely to be the ones they qualify into. I don't think you have to talk to 3rd or 4th seat trainees though - a first seater could be more knowledgable than you expect.
