@Jessica Booker I know firms let you know post-ac to tell them if you have conflicting offers for an earlier response, but do you think asking them for an early reply so i don't have to attend another AC will suffice? If I get the offer I won't attend the other AC, and by not attending the AC...
For anyone that had to do the proofreading test for Mayer Brown, did you actually get through all the questions?? I know the prompt acknowledged that we may not finish the test
Mayer Brown AC invite - does anyone have any advice for it? :) also, does anyone know if this is the final or first stage of the interview process? I assume first because it says this AC consists of a group exercise and fact-find task and doesn't mention any interview.
@Jessica Booker I had a TI where they asked me 'Why X firm' and 'why commercial law', are they expecting a completely revamped answer in the AC interview or can I just reuse it again? TI was with grad recruitment and no lawyers, but they said they'd pass on notes from the TI to the interviewing...
@Jessica Booker Do law firms care about if your law degree is an honours degree? Tbh I don't actually know the difference but someone at my uni told me that we don't get an honours degree if we don't do a dissertation, and a dissertation here is optional so loads of people aren't doing one
For people that started uni in 2020, have you guys already gone back to in-person exams? Last real exam I did was gcse but they're thinking about changing it for this summer
