Hi all, I have recently been invited to attend the Shoosmiths Assessment Centre and have only ever participated in a half-day AC with another firm, so I have limited experience and insight.

If possible, does anyone have any insight into the Shoosmiths AC specifically, or if anyone can offer advice generally for the following:
- Written exercises (drafting + proofreading)
- Pair exercises
- Group exercises
- Presentations
- 1-1 interview with Partner or Senior Associate

Further, if anyone has any free resources, I would be very grateful :) Thank you!

I'm not entirely sure, however, my guess is that it may be a case study of sorts so that we can discuss solutions/problems and they will assess us on how well we interact with another person on a 1-1 basis etc.
Do you think that will be with the partners of the firm or with fellow candidates?

Also, does anyone have any idea what topics they might give for us to do a presentation on? Would it be law related or anything?

I believe it will be with another candidate, and the group exercise will have up to 4 of us involved.

Regarding the presentation, it could be anything - previous years had presentation topics related to sustainability, clean energy and automation from what I've heard.

Hey. I’m unsure about Shoosmiths in particular, but if you’re interested in AC insights we have an interview database with loads of experiences here - https://www.thecorporatelawacademy.com/forum/forums/interview-experiences-2021-2022.90/
Thank you very much Amma! That's helpful. I haven't received the AC invite yet 😭 but I'm curious about the duration because I realised the date for London AC is 24th June and I just happen to have a flight that day in the afternoon. 😭
