  • Hi Jess, I hope you'll well. Please can I PM you about situational questions in law firm interviews?

    Thanks!
    Jessica Booker
This type of question is best suited to the forums unless you feel it is going to mean you divulge personal information.
    Hi Jessica,

Do you know how much Freshfields value the WG, I know some people that scored within the 90th percentile last year but still didn’t get an ac invite
    Jessica Booker
Their application would have been unsuccessful for another reason if the WG was that high.
    Hi Jessica,

I hope you're doing well. May I send you a PM regarding certain specific questions I have about a-level/undergraduate requirements of law firms and the consideration of mitigating circumstances? I have a unique situation and am struggling a little with navigating through it.

    Thank you!
    Hi Jessica,

I hope you are well. May I please send you a PM regarding some work experience details (I have not been working since August and not all applications provide an additional information sections). Would be grateful if you could read the brief statement too.
    Thank you!
    Hi Jessica,
    I hope you're doing well :)
Would it be okay to send you a PM regarding disclosure of mitigating circumstances?
    Thank you
    A
Thank you for confirming that I can - I’ve sent over the details :)
    Hi jessica,
I completed my LLB with a 2:1 from RG University and am now preparing to self-fund my SQE. As an international student on a graduate visa, I got accepted into the University of Law's LLM (SQE 1 & 2) Online programme, starting this September.
But, I'm torn between pursuing the LLM or opting for something else or UoL's in-person SQE 1 & 2 Prep course.
    Thanks
    Hi Jessica,

I hope you're well. I really need some advice!

If I am self-funding my LLM SQE, does the course provider matter? I am leaning towards City but have noticed most firm-sponsored students go to UoL or BPP. If I go to City, will that impact my chances when applying for TCs?

I am also an international student - unsure if that makes a difference.
    Jessica Booker
It really does not matter where you study the SQE - it will not impact your chances when applying for a TC
Hi Jessica, I wanted to discuss my situation with someone with experience. I am in a difficult situation regarding TC applications as a candidate under graduate visa and would really appreciate some ideas on how I could strategize my applications. Thank you in advance

Hi Jessica, thank you for all the help yesterday. I wondered how to access the law firm profile resources? I managed to get onto it when I first signed up but seemed to have forgotten where they are?

Please let me know. Thank you
Hi Jessica. I am having a hard time perfecting my answer for the 'why international law' because I am applying to some international law firms. Do you have any advice on how I can go about this so that my answer isn't generic? Thank you.
    Hi Jessica

Do you have any advice for Trainees about to enter their last seat/interview for an NQ role?

    Many thanks
    OJ
    Jessica Booker
Have you identified where you want to qualify? If that your final seat and if not is it closely related?
    O
    Hi Jess
    Thanks for your response.
Yes I have identified where I want to qualify. It’s not my final seat (it’s the seat before).
